The proverb says idle mind is devil's workshop. On the contrary I have been Idle for quite some time now and I conceptualized a Wi-Fi kitchen appliance.
The specification is as follows
Hardware spec and functions
Tegra T40 controlling Foodprocessor, Induction cooker, and digitial circuits of Thermostat,Fuse,Pressure valve
1. Small trays in which salt, spices and masala powder can be loaded.
2. Compartments where rice, pulses and grated coconut could be stored
3. Array for vegetables.
4. EEPROM with a preloaded menu that can be edited to suit individual taste
5. Touch screen that enables user to choose the menu.
6. Electronic stove connected to burners
7. Auto cut off Fuse to prevent excessive fuel discharge
8. Vessels suitable for cooking
9. Water supply through hose.
10. Timer
11. Thermostat
12. Wi-Fi support
Software spec and functions
1. Multi language support
2. Multi user support controlled with Semaphore
Basic Use cases
1. User logs into the Wi-Fi kitchen appliance remotely
2. Checks the current status
If no dish is being cooked the user selects from the menu what needs to be cooked
e.g. Roti and Khurma
If all the vegetables specified in a recipe is not available in the appliance then the item would be disabled, but a link 'More' should appear next to it
Once user clicks on 'More' they can check what are the entities that are unavailable and override the pre-loaded recipe and apply a 'force cook'
e.g. If potato is unavailable and the menu disabled Khurma because of that then user can choose to override potato in the menu
3. When the user logs in if they find the system is already cooking then they can schedule the next item.
4. All users can choose to share / hide their dish (access privilege controlled)
5.Users can download recipe from various websites and import it into the appliance
6. When the stock of any item is depleted user should be able to place order on the website of retail outlet such as Spencers, More or Reliance.
In the enhanced versions
It would also be good if this appliance can be integrated with dish washer as well.
