Use of science to keep out environment imbalance

"BSE loses 77 pts on monsoon delay fears." If not anything else I hope at least this news should create a trigger amongst the officials and take measures immediately.
Definitely, it’s a very bad sign because farmers are waiting for the rain. However, if we look at the whole business scenario it is still not very late.
In US, cloud seeding is used to increase precipitation in areas experiencing drought, and to reduce the amount of fog in and around airports. Cloud seeding is also occasionally used by major ski resorts to induce snowfall. Alberta (Canada) have ongoing weather modification operational programs.
If these developed countries can do it then why does nt Indian Ministry of Agriculture also propose cloud seeding. This would definitely help the poor farmers who are awaiting rain. There would be thousands of dependant families who would have taken loan hoping for a perfect crop this year, they are counting on normal rainfall. When government can spend crores of rupees on all so called development projects in big cities road widening, fly overs, sky train, sub way laying.. please spare few moments and think whom do you think would exist in this country if all that we have is drought and famine.

Every year in India atleast 50 farmers and their families commit suicide. The reasons vary from drought, unable to pay loans and land grabbing by business tycoons for setting up MNCs. During the election campaign these farmers are promised new equipments, better quality seeds and subsidised lending rates from the bank and no sooner than they win the election all these are forgotten. It takes at least one suicide to kind of remind them that there exists such human beings as well in the world who voted for them and got them to the Loksabha.
